Dawn has been a financial advisor since 1998 where she started her career at Smith Barney and later joined Merrill Lynch. Prior to moving into financial services she was an attorney with the Norfolk firm of Breeden, MacMillan & Green. She served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1991 to 1995.
Dawn graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and the Campbell University School of Law. She is an Associate Member of the Virginia and North Carolina Bars.
Dawn served as President of the boards of the Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach and Volunteer Hampton Roads. She is the Leader of Cadette Girl Scout Troop 537 & Brownie Troop 444. She served on the selection committee for the 2008 "First Citizen of Norfolk." She graduated from Leadership Hampton Roads in 1996. Dawn volunteers at her church, Christ & St. Luke's, and daughters' school, Norfolk Collegiate. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Great Bridge Chapter; the Harborfront Garden Club and Horizons Circle supporting the Children Hospital of the King's Daughters.
Her awards include the Walter E. Hoffman Outstanding Community Service Award in 1998 from the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, Outstanding Young Woman in America 1997, and the Naval Commendation Medal. Dawn was honored as the Junior League's Sustainer of the Year in 2005 and 2007. She was named to Inside Business' first "Forty Under 40" list in 1999. She was named an "Outstanding Volunteer" by the Girl Scout Council of the Colonial Coast in 2009. She lives in Norfolk with her husband, Bob Matthews Finke, and their two daughters, Madison and Julia.

Services include comprehensive financial planning and investment selection tailored to achieve client objectives. She maintains a close relationship with other advisors for tax and estate planning issues.
